Case 3: Recontouring
Teeth recontouring and reshaping is used by our cosmetic dentists to correct crooked, chipped, and overlapping teeth. During the procedure, the teeth are "sculpted" by removing a small amount of tooth structure. Contouring and reshaping of the teeth results in smoother and more uniformly and evenly spaced teeth. This procedure can also be used to round out pointy teeth, to reduce the length of lower teeth, and to reduce the width of teeth that overlap others. The procedure usually does not require the use of an anesthetic. To ask any questions concerning your mouth or dental case please feel free to call our Midtown Manhattan, New York City dental office.
